I recently moved hear last summer, after my previous landlord raised my rent $160 bucks. Though I went down from a two bedroom to a one bedroom, so far I couldn't be happier. As opposed to the previous place I took as is (Regency apartments in Wayne PA), the apartment was clean when I moved in, and the few noncritical initial issues I had were resolved within the week with a note stating what was done.

Perhaps the management staff isn't always as polite and friendly at all times, but at the end of the working day, it is hard for even the warmest and most polite person to remain cheery and friendly friendly during the last few hours of the day. So far, I've found them friendly and helpful even when they have quite a few otehrs in the office at the same time between 4 and 6 pm.

Perhaps I'm biased. My previous place had a major leak that took over a year to address, old and brittle electrical and phone lines, zero to minimal heat, parking lot with potholes and barely visible parking spaces, and manegement that were basically upperclass slum lord. Still, my unit was completely clean and welcoming when I moved in, the heat works fine,as do the appliances, the the parking gets filled in the evening, at least the spots are clearly marked, and any concerns have been addressed within a reasonable amount of time with a reciept stating the work that was performed. Okay, perhaps the halls do have a curry smell at times, but at least the buildings have reasonable security, and the halls are well lit. As another reveiwer stated, it isn't perfect, but it's an apartment not a mansion, or the president's suite.
