I highly recommend Manor House Apartments, especially if you're looking for a safe, quiet environment. We moved in November 2007, and haven't had any major issues so far. The day we moved in, they had a frozen pizza, soda, and water for us in our apartment with a nice card welcoming us to the apartment complex. It was a nice touch since we certainly didn't feel like cooking or grocery shopping our first night! We're both young (25), and the complex is popular among those of an older generation, so it's very quiet, and we appreciate that. The one thing I will say is, although noise isn't an issue, we can hear the tenant next door cough and blow his nose in the bathroom. Parking is never an issue. Our 1 bedroom apt has central air, dishwasher, stackable washer/dryer, and garbage disposal - all the basic bells and whistles we could ask for in a first home. If you're renting a 1 bedroom I highly suggest getting a unit on the 2nd floor - the bedroom in these units have a walk-in closet in addition to 2 other closets. Plenty of storage space - especially if you're a girl with lots of clothes, purses, shoes. We're happy here, and plan on staying here until we buy a home in a few years.
