It's Not An Actual House, But Can Become A Make-Shift Home...

I've lived in Pioneer Woods for a year. Prior to move-in there was a small problem, but it was resolved quickly. The day of my move, the water heater leaked. Since the day before was a bad storm, I was told that the water probably blew in underneath the door. However, after several trips back and forth is was apparent that there was more water. I had to place my first emergency maintenance on move-in day, but someone arrived within an hour and the problem was resolved.
I was in a townhouse that for the most part was relatively quiet with the exception of the inconsiderate neighbors that felt the need to slam doors constantly. I finally had enough and contacted the leasing office and was told that there have been past complaints and if I wanted them evicted they would do so. Talk about passing the buck! The noise makers evidentually moved out, quickly replaced by out-of-staters that had three cars, one of which had a broken window and was never moved since it first appeared almost two months after their arrival. Parking wasn't the best to begin with, let alone dealing with other residents using prime parking spots to "store" their junkyard-ready vehicles. The latest "oops" was that the leasing office sent me a semi-nasty letter informing me that I was $50 delinquent on my rent and needed to submit payment or otherwise face possible eviction. The short story is that my dog passed away and I informed the office, was told that I did not need to pay the pet fee any longer. Somehow, the right person was not informed at Boyd Wilson and therefore I was delinqent. The situation was solved the next day and I did not owe any money, but who needs to be reminded of the death of their pet in that way' The gentleman in the office was very nice and sympathtic, but it's just a shame that the issue presented itself in the first place.
On a positive note: The townhouse was very nice, although a bit much for one person. Two and 1/2 baths for one' But I chose Pioneer Woods because I really liked the townhouse layout and I liked the fact that Pioneer Woods was off of the beaten path. Now that I'm ready to get back into the mainstream of life, and on the beaten path... I also just became frustrated enough with the disrespect from most of the other residents that the need to shop around was obvious.
Would I recommend this place' I guess so, but it wouldn't be in the top three. I have no idea on the apartments, but if you have two or more people, I'm sure you'll be satisifed in a townhouse. Just be prepared for front doors slamming, settling for not-so-prime parking spots, weekend parties and the occasional visit by the police as well as the potential for extremely long grass (they tend to not mow too often during the warmer months).

This girl sounds petty and for all intensive purposes just plain dumb. I've lived in Pioneer Woods for going on three years and have never had the problems she is describing. The lawn is well maintained, maintenance is on the ball if I ever have an issue and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. I have NEVER seen any wild parties and there is a curfew for children and teens that is noteably observed. I don't know what she means by the rental office, "passing the buck" by offering to evict the tenants she and others were complaining about. She had a problem, they offered to solve it - I don't see her problem. Same goes for the car. Had she called the rental office they would have requested the resident move the vehicle to a less, "prime" spot and if it was not tagged and there were no extenuating circumstances they would have the vehicle removed from the lot. Pioneer Woods apartments is a wonderful place to live and I for one can say that this girl's presence will not be missed. She can have fun, "on the beaten path" because Pioneer Woods is peaceful and enjoyable as ever - without her.
