Quality Is Falling

When I first moved here two years ago, it seemed like a very nice, clean place. There were certain rules that were followed such as noise ordinances, yard upkeep, no dogs over 35 lbs., etc. Basically, those rules are out the window now. I had neighbors who had loud karaoke parties and nothing was done. Children littered their toys and bikes all over the place. Every day I see dogs such as pit bulls, rottweilers, mastiffs, and other breeds which are well beyond 35 lbs.

I feel that the rent is too high for the quality of the apartments. The paint job is shoddy and a lot of the construction is subpar. We had lived here two years and the furnace has never been cleaned. They put in a 30-day air filter every 6 months (we bought our own because the air conditioning unit was freezing up). When the construction crews are remodeling an apartment, they are as noisy as possible. They shout and smash everything, and start as early as 7 a.m. Lighting is also an issue. Very few people keep their porch lights on, and it can get quite dark at night. It doesn't feel very safe to walk around.

The main benefit of the apartment complex is the location. It is extremely close to many places. I think it is fine for a first apartment, but I will definitely be moving when my lease is up. The complex was recently bought out by another company and I feel the quality will only drop more.

There are breed restrictions on dogs, no weight limits. The dog types named are not allowed here & we have no records of those types living here. The new management (Altman Group), which took us over on 11/6/06, is a people-oriented company & has already begun planning many wonderful improvements. We are excited about the changes that are yet to come. Usually negative responses stem from someone who has been a "problem" resident. We may have had to file on them for paying rent late, or maybe send them a letter for being too loud. Keep in mind, there are 413 apartments here, I see maybe 10 reviews. We try to make it as nice & pleasant here for everyone as possible. And we are more than happy to bend over backwards for our residents. Any questions, feel free to call our office at (717) 393-3929. Have a great day!

I have been living here for a few years and I have never been late on rent nor have I had any problems brought to me by management. It's nice to know that you respond to negativity by attempting to insult your tenants. This is exactly the reason I will be leaving this complex this year and will not be recommending it to anyone.

What bother is it to other people if there are dogs over 35 lbs?!?

I totally agree with you space_! How can u justify a negative review by stating that "Usually negative responses stem from someone who has been a "problem" resident."? I must say for a business to allow their staff to leave such a childish remark astounds me! This is highly irritating to me as I am still a tenant. Look forward to my negative review once I move out...wonder if my family will be labeled "problem tenants" as well?
