Better than many, but not the best.

Apartment is good yet has a few problems:

1) Office staff has been very courteous to me and my wife, but we have witnessed the staff being downright rude to some of the tenants.

2) Maintenance is on the poor side. Many, many of the workers do nto speak English and less-than-urgent problems can take weeks to be fixed. We waited nearly 9 months for our ceiling fan to be put in (5 requests were made) and 10 months later we still have no screen door (one was promised to us upon moving in).

3) Noise can be a problem. We've had to call the police a few times on our neighbors for yelling and fighting outside. Not to be racist or bigoted, but our hispanic neighbors tend to play loud music, race their dirt bikes, and get into fist fights...and this is at 3 AM. Multiple notices have gone out by the office regarding these issues...

4) Safety is an issue. Our locking doors never lock as the other tenants figure breaking them so they don't need their own keys is the best way to go. The doors have been broken at least 10 times. The office staff has tried to fix it by installing sturdier doors, but the locks still get broken. The parking lots are poorly lit and a few thefts have been reported that we're aware of.

5) Rent is too high for this area. They are hiking rates in order to beautify the area, but 600 a one bedroom in a section 8 complex is much too high for Lancaster.

Now the good things:

1) They allow pets! Dogs and cats. Big dogs too!

2) As before the office staff have been great with us.

3) Generally, the apartment has been hassle-free. They tend to treat you well if you pay your rent on time and are a trouble-free tenant.

4) Parking is more than ample. The lots are poorly-lit but I've never wonted for a parking spot.

5) When the neighbors aren't going nuts and beating the crud out of each other, the complex is pretty quiet.

6) The complex is quite beautiful...the interior of the apartments isn't as nice, but they are decent.
