The apartments are falling apart. Some of them have not been renovated since they were built in the 1960's. The office staff promises you the world when you move in telling you they will upgrade your apartment and that the security is wonderful. That's a bunch of bull! What they don't tell you is that they will raise your rent if you want your apartment upgraded. And security..... there is none! A cop drives down the main street about once a night. They used to have buzzers by the front door of the apartment buildings but they removed them because the new office is too cheap to upgrade. Now the only door that's locked between you and the outside is your flimsy apartment door that is remarkably easy to break into if you have a credit card handy. There is no lighting, always drunken fights, i slept with a metal pole by my bed every night! Thecnditions themselves are filthy. There are bugs everywhere, if you call maintanence you better lock up all your valuables, there are stains on the carpets, tiles falling out in the bathroom, and appliances that don't work. Maintenance won't do anything about it either. You can call and call and call but they will never call you back unless your a man. Don't even try to call the office if you are female because they will treat you like you don't have a brain cell in your head. There's throw up in the stairwells and human feces in the washing machines for weeks before they get around to cleaning it. have the nerve to raise your rent every year by 30 to 40 dollars. Basically it's really overpriced section eight housing. They say "well at least you get the pool free"..... I lived there last summer and the pool was only open about 1 month because they were too cheap to pay for another life gaurd! Let's be honest...... most of the people who work there won't even live there! And the rent price per month doesn't include anything...... you still have to pay your utilities, water and sewer, laundry, 35 a month for pets.... it's a rip off! They still have baseboard heating and window airconditioners that run you major major bills a month! My heat bill used to be almost 200 a month for a 1 BEDROOM! My mom doesn't pay that for an entire house.
