Parking can be a problem...

We lived in Olde Hickory on the 1100 section and parking was a NIGHTMARE! There are always different cars taking up parking meaning you have to park out in the boondocks most of the time. Because of the layout, you can end up having to walk quite a bit to your front door from your car and this is especially troublesome when you're bringing in groceries (parking problems only exacerbate this). The rent can be too high with no utilities included. You can find rentals nearby for far cheaper with some utilities included. You even have to pay for admission to the pool. It's quiet and the majority of tenants are quite friendly. The location is pretty convenient also. Overall, I'd say you can probably find something of the same quality for cheaper elsewhere, otherwise, it is an okay place to live. If they included some utilities and assigned parking spots, it would be a MUCH better place to live.

I just moved into the 1100 block and so far parking is no problem at all. And the pool is now free (they changed it this year). A place of similar quality would be at least $200 more per month.

I live in the 1100 block and have to park far away nearly all the time. It's like trying to reach the summit of a mountain. And I've heard residents in other sections complain about this as well. You often see cars that you know don't belong here taking up spots. It's so bad that if I get a good spot and have to buy groceries, I am reluctant to leave my spot cause I just know that when I return I'll most likely have to park in no man's land.
