My family and I have been living here for several years. Far too long. As soon as we can, we are leaving! Since the recent take over, things have gotten much, much worse. Rent goes up. The new policies benefit the new company, not us! New residents are scummy, loud, messy, and rude. There is absolutely no consideration given for any current resident. This myth about a new laundry room!' That has been promised for over three years!!!!! Washers and dryers have not been fixed! And there was two inches of water flooding the room this morning!!! The management never talks to anyone. She's horrible! And maintenance!'! What maintenance' Nothing is fixed. It takes hours for a response to an emergency. The whole building is dirty and smells like curry and trash.
The prior company at least seemed to care and kept the building clean!

I have to agree with much of what was said in the post below. I have also lived here for several years--too long. While I feel the new building manager is nice enough, I agree that the complex itself is filthy--vacuuming in the hallways is practically unheard-of, where it used to be routine. The dogs (this apartment had a no-dog policy until 18 months ago) bark constantly, and the surrounding grounds are littered with dog dirt. The laundry room is disgusting and the machines are in constant disrepair, and I'll believe the rumor about new machines when I see them. Also, the community room oven has been marked "out of order" for the entire three months that the new owner has had the place (we've never even been told WHO the knew owner IS.) And yes, the newer tenants are trashy and loud, for the most part; it feels as though anyone who can sign their own name to a lease is given an apartment, just to fill the rush of vacancies as decent people move out. This complex was never perfect, but I've seen a huge decline for the year or so (about the time when the old owners first began trying to unload this place). Now, it's a mess. Find someplace else if you're looking to live in this nice borough. Executive House is a money trap.

I am resident in this apartment. In the month of July 2007, the ownership has been transferred from Home Properties to a private owner. The previous Property Manager Dennis used to prolonge issues without complete resolution. Due to this kind of attitude outgoing Manager, the new management had numerous issues pending as soon as they took up the property. The new property Manager is very friendly and co-operative in terms of handling issues. Water leakage, flooding and laundry machines breakage existed from years. Previous management had not resolved completely.. I feel the new management is trying to fix issues by replacing the old washing machines with new ones. As a resident I was aware the fact that few residents taken the previous management for granted and never followed the rules. When the new property management took up on these issues, they are not able to digest. I just want to express the opinion on the initial poster comments new residents. The comments on new residents show show anger, frustration and narrowmindedness. I am aware of some of the new residents and they come from very decent background and maintain their apartment clean and they do not present any of the above mentioned behavior.
