Main Street Apartments
AVERAGE RATING

I've read through all the other reviews. Most of the bad ones are during a time when management wasn't that great and there were problems with some of the maintenance employees. And there were a couple of buildings that seemed to have more than thier share of criminal types. But now, there is better management, better maintenance and better neighbors (for the most part, show me a place that doesn't have some real duds). Being next to Acme is certainly a big plus! Being within walking distance of Walgreens and the other stores that were recently built is nice too.
I just signed my 6th lease. I did some looking around at other places and for the money, this is the best. There are better ones but they cost at least $500 a month more. And there are cheaper ones where you would probably need a gun for self defense.
Main Street can be a cozy place to live. I'd at least give it a try for a year. And I agree with one person who wrote a review, get a ground floor apartment. I was on the third floor and now have a ground floor apartment. I'm able to have a small flower garden which I have missed since moving from a house.

Yes, but "ground floor" apartments cost more. This place is loaded with hidden costs. The rent (for a 1BR) is $799...HOWEVER this does not include: trash, sewer, water, electric, and gas. There are no washer & dryers in the units. And to have cable/internet, factor in another $150. In short, you're looking at about 1000 dollars per month for a 1BR apt w/stinky hallways and paper-thin walls. Even the office has a funny smell! Beware of the paper thin walls though. You can hear your neighbor snoring at night. I live here...but not much longer!
