My family and i moved to Pennsylvania in feb. of 05. management and office staff were more than helpfull, and willing to work with us in getting my family into an apartment asap. prices are fair, in my opinion...not any worse than others in the area. we are not picky people, and understand that apartment life will have its downs. we have 2 children under the age of 6 and understand how it goes with kids and noise. however, after the move in, the apt did have its needs to be fixed. maintanance was very quick in handeling any problems that we broght to thier attention, and solved them in a very professional manner, all the while maintaining a kind
and friendly attitude.
i have read over comments on this site and have to say that overall this seems to be a lot better place than people have made it out to be. i have not yet to encounter a problem with office staff or maintanance, and the neighboors are all very nice. true, main street apts are not the most upscale in appearance, but i think it is what you make it.
the apts are located close to grocery stores and the center of lansdale, so moving in from out of the area wasnt that bad. office staff was nice enough to help out with directions to places and gave us lots of helpfull information on the area.
if i had to complain it would be only that laundry is not done in the individual apt, but in the downstairs area. with 2 kids and a husband in hvac, theres usually a lot of dirty clothes and at 1.50 a wash it kinda adds up.
other than that i recommend main street apts in the upmost. my daughter is starting school here and it is within walking distance. parking is never a problem for our building and i recently enjoyed the beautiful balcony contest the office had. (we got first runner up =0)
the pool has recently opened and even tho we havent made our first appearance yet, it seems to look kept well, ...very clean, and very cool.
although we have only been here since feb. i have had no problems thus far and have enjoyed calling Main street apartments home. i figure you just gotta look at it this way...treat others how you want to be treated and you should be just fine. =0)
