I lived in the Stanbridge for 2 years. First year I was in a 2BR Corner apartment and the second year, a 1 BR center apartment (large).

The apartments are very soundproof and you can't hear a thing from anyone around you as long as you are in your apartment. You can hear people from the hallways if you are near your door,that's about it.

The 2BR corner apartment had two major issues. We had insane gas bills and it was partly due to wind barreling past the windows and taking all the heat out of the apartment. The sccond being that you could hear the trains going by each time and you couldn't leave your windows open due to this issue.
The 1BR, I had no issues with at all.

The people who lived in the building while I was there were all quite friendly and I miss that now that I've moved. There was an influx of nasty people moving in for a bit, but that seemed to have stopped right before I moved out. The maintenance men were also nice people and weren't like some other complex's scuzzy maintenance.

The manager of the complex is friendly, if a little bit loopy, but she is generally friendly. She does make up strange rules (see review below), but she seems to sincerely have the best interests of the building in mind. It's just the way that it is done that makes it kinda annoying.

The fire alarms do go off quite often, but at least you know they work and there was never a REAL fire in the building.

I never had any major maintenance issues living here, other than a leaking toilet.

I liked the stanbridge and if I ever move back to the PA area, I'll be more than willing to re-rent there.

Positives:
Friendly tenants
Soundproof (more than any other apartment I've lived in)
No real maintanance issues
Water pressure was great
Cheap rent, for the area.
Management gives notice of all work pretty much, so you have pre-warning
Close to shopping, train, mall, etc

Negatives:
Gas bills really high (think something is wrong with the units)
Management likes to walk in w/out notice (not that often though)
Don't rent the Corner apartments (too noisy, pricey)
Fixtures are a little cheap.
No salting of parking lot during winter. I banged the crud out of my knee last winter and had a bruise for a month and a half.
