I lived at the Stanbridge for two years. The apartments aren't bad, but getting help with anything is incredibly difficult. The first few months I lived there we could smell gas almost every day. When I notified the manager Tommy, she asked me if I had lived in a house with gas before, and did I really know what it smelled like!!!
They replaced our fuse boxes, and the next thing we new our blowdryer kept blowing the fuse in the bathroom. When the electrician came back we weren't home, and he dug through my bedroom closet to find the blowdryer that wasn't being used and claimed that it was broken and shorting the fuse....then he came back when we complained again and said that the wiring is old, and you simply can't use a higher wattage blow dryer in that outlet...he told us to blow dry our hair in the kitchen instead!!!
When our refrigerator stopped working (it was alternately freezing and thawing items), she asked us if we were playing with the temperature dial! The price of the apartments has been increasing exponentially, and the apartments are not worth the money you pay for them. The hallways smell horrible all the time, which consequently makes the apartment smell. They've been remodelling, but it's all superficial things like hanging new pictures. Bottom line, if you can deal with the crazy manager and the smells, and don't anticipate many maintenance problems than the Stanbridge wouldn't be that bad of a place.
