Nice character of the buildings, poorly managed

I liked living here at first because of the large space for the price we paid and the nice view (we were lucky, in the 83 building with our windows facing the woodsy area). The appliances are very old but I wasn't too picky, the buildings have a lot of charm and space. I ran into some issues with the management though, stuff kept breaking and the repair guys didn't really do a good job. A power line fell down on the gazeebo and it took the management five months to finally remove the lines and the branches. They turned off our heat a bunch of times but refused to refund us any part of our rent (the heat is included). I loved my neighbors and the nice layout, but I wouldn't recommend living there now unless you are very patient- the management has become so lax that you just pray nothing goes wrong that they have to deal with. Also, buyer beware: you have to give 60 days notice, not the usual 30.
