I have lived in Stratfor Court Apartments for a year and a half, Here are the Goods:
-Hardwood Floors in Good shape
-Lots of Closet Space
-Huge Bathroom/ Foyer
-Only 4 Apartments per wing (Privacy)
-Lovely Courtyard
-Quiet if off street.
-All Utilities Included
-Cats good, dogs not allowed
-Friendly Managment
-Fast Repairs
-Tall Ceilings
-Great Layout (If i look out my living room window i can see into my dining room and kitchen.
-Great French-Inspired Iron
-24 hr Wawa/Blockbuster/Salon/Deli/Chinese Food/Eckerd/Papa Johns/Diner/Check Cashing Place/Classy Thrift Stores/Book Store/Dollar Store/ Acme/ 5 different denominations of 'churches'/Lansdowne's Famous Tree & Park within a 2 block radius.
-minimal credit check
-3 bus routes go near/ past building.
THE BAD

-Kitchen is quite outdated (no counter space, my bathroom is the same size as the kitchen)
-Ugly carpet in the rest of the building.
-Plaster Walls
-Not an abundance of outlets
-Older windows.
-All Apartments are 1 bedroom. Although this keeps alot of small children away, it doesnt allow you to move into a bigger place.
-Minimal Parking.

THE UGLY
-Bathroom is all pink ( including: walls, toilet, sink, tile floor)
-One Cable Jack
-Voulenteer Firestation Two Blocks Away. (SIREEEENNNNSSSS!)

Well there you have it-all the facts about this apartment. In my opinion, you'd be bettr off looking in Lansdowne for one of these great victorian houses that are all converted into apartments. However, they usually have private owners so the only way to know about them is to tour the neighborhood. Overall, Stratford Court is a great 'starter apartment' but you'll have to leave sometime.

This review doesn't pass the smell test -- I think that it is propaganda written by the so-called management. Compare it to the other reviews -- how could they be so dramatically different?
