The only benefit to living in Stratford Court Apartments is that Lansdowne is a nice community. All the things that management touts in the Delaware County Daily Times are misleading in order to make prospective tenants think they may be moving into a nice building. Everything about the building is visibly old and needs to be updated. The apartment that I occupy probably hasn't seen a new fixture in 40 years. The walls and mouldings have several layers of paint on them, the hardwood floors are worn in some spots the windows are old, drafty and make the building look horrible from the outside. The landscaping is shoddy. The common area carpeting is old and dirty. A "band-aid" approach is taken for renovations. Oh, yeah, the washers and dryers were finally replaced with new appliances. And last but not least the property manager is condescending and does not care in the least about the comfort of the tenants, or their concerns. I could go on...
