Good points;
Close to highway, grocery store, hardware store and many other businesses. Outside grounds look very well kept.

Bad points;
Walls are thin (you can keep up to date with your neighbors business without trying, and they with yours). There are storage units on premises, they don't tell you they will cost extra until you have signed the lease.
Every spring and fall, you are subject to a walk-through of your apartment (you will receive a letter before this happens advising you that you need not be home).
A neighbor of mine that had lived in the building for 8 years informed the office that his doorbell did not work, he was told the doorbell was to old to fix and have friends call before coming over and look out for them (problem was fixed after the tenant moved out and a new one moved in)
I needed work done in my apartment, after notifying the office 3 times and a visit to "insist" they do the work, it was finally done.
New washers and dryers had been installed, you need a card to use them and you have to go to the office every so often to have money put on them. Shortly after the washers and dryers had been installed they shut off the hot water to them. When anyone questions this they laugh and say the hot water will be fixed right away, this has been going on for about a year and a half.
In the four years I have lived here, my rent has gone up twice.
I know friends that have been looking for places to live and they have looked at this place. I always tell them what this place is like and none have moved in.
It does seem as though the previous post was written by management, looks as something they would do.

I don't see a problem with the laundry cards. In fact I'd rather put money on a card than carry change around most people don't even carry cash much less change. I don't understand why you have stayed here so long. 4 years is a long time for someone who hates where they live. I am the person that wrote about how much I love it. I do truly love it and I do not work for Highland Park or Westgate. I live in 1102 which is the one bedroom building. We are newlyweds and are not redy to buy a house. It perfect for us. We were told before we signed the lease that the storage and gym both cost extra and that it is also a fee to rent the community room. Sorry to hear whoever took you around didn't give you all of the info but honestly if you would have read the lease it prob would have said that.
