We have had mostly positive experiences with Macungie Village. They are fairly timely with repairs. The maintenance staff is great, they are very personable, courteous, and respectful of your home. The office staff is ever changing. In a little over two years, we have seen 3 different directors, although I'm not sure why.

Nice neighbors
Swimming pool virtually empty all summer so you almost have it to yourself
Macungie police patrol area often
Dishwasher
Garbage Disposal
Deck/patio

CONS
Expensive for age of apartments and virtually no upgrades (looks can be deceiving)
Apartment size washer/dryer (dryer takes 1 - 1 1/2 hours for small load)
Central air is LOUD (you eventually get used to it)
Insulation isn't the best, electric bill is fairly high (even on budget plan)
Loud train at least 3-4 times an hour (even through the night)
Upgrades promised with lease renewals, only received one.
You pay utilities (electric, water, cable, internet, phone)
