Upside - office staff are very nice - Barbara is a Gem. Maintenance people are also great. Downside - you pay for everyone elses heat and hotwater. Heat and hot water are AVERAGED - Heat works in the diningroom which is where the dial is to turn it from 1 to 6. If you don't want to freeze in the bathroom or bedroom prepare to put it up to 6 and suffocate in the living room - and be sure to buy plenty of plastic for the windows and watch them bow out all winter as the wind blows. OH - heat is turned on sometime in late October - so hopefully you bring a space heater with you until then if gets unseasonably cold before then. Hot water - averaged as well - how I don't know - the family next door to me in a 2BR paid less for the 6 adults and 2 kids - me myself and I had a water bill twice their size. Lamp post has been flickering on and off since 2005 - I reported it 4 x and gave up. Was not fun walking dog in evening. And...Dog poop everywhere because they don't enforce the rule to pick it up - they just put up a notice on the front door instead of fining the people who are responsible. I don't and wouldn't recommend living there unless you can share your apartment with 2 or 3 other people - then the rent plus utilities would be great. when you leave be prepared to pay 3x the amount they show on the exit letter for whatever damage they think you incurred. After 5 years there and WORN WORN carpets I was told by a maintenance person they would probably replace the rugs. the exit letter said $90 to "clean" carpets in a 3 BR - they charged me $300. yeah right. sorry - I don't recommend it after that final slap int he face. I can't wait to tell my friends that still live there and want out.
