The Pointe at Adams Ridge is something to behold. It's the "grand-daddy" when it comes to even comparing it to other places around Pittsburgh and as John Lennon would say, it's the "poppamose of the toppamose." When you first make your way along the tree-lined sidewalks, all of a sudden you're met by this behemoth of a clubhouse and iron gates that look like they belong at Buckingham Palace, you tend to forget for a moment you are even in Pittsburgh. Entering, your eyes wander at the enormous, yet bedazzling chandelier and everywhere you look there is something to take in on aesthetic appreciation. The management greets you in a very friendly manner and you do not feel at all like someone is putting on a cover in order to just make a sale. I learned that when I went to Christopher Wren (wexford). The woman there was so fake-baked/plastic and she thought her ---- didn't stink, those type of people make me wanna ----- slap them and so I just walked out.
When you are taken on tour of the Pointe each added amenity leaves you with your jaw to the floor and just shaking your head/saying can this really be. I mean from the indoor basketball court, which Bobby Knight would be amazed by, to the movie theater, yes a movie theater with actual cushioned chairs/even a popcorn stand. The fitness center is large and accomodating and the sandy beach pool with actual white imported sand/jacuzzi. There is also a pool up near grand gazebo and I was informed this is where the party crowd lingers...I'm there!! The condos, even the one bedroom seems large and for the price you really can not compare. You expect a one bedroom to go for at least $1800-2000 given all the amenities and such, but not to be. This place gets an A in my book and I am looking forward to moving in soon!!

You must be delusional - we stayed here for three months in a furnished one-bedroom - the furniture was old, broken, dirty, mismatched - probably discards from Salvation Army or Goodwill. Our one-bedroom was dark and claustrophobic at a cost of $2,000 per month. We were here temporarily so had to stay. The amenities are fine yes but most of the time you spend in your apartment. The only management staff we had good dealings with was the maintenance guy - the females in the office were unhelpful and rather "snooty" for our taste. Good luck to you, wait until you move out and see the unmentioned charges they will hit you with.

I don't agree with zeplin68's stellar review of The Point. I lived there during the years 2006-2008. I thought the place was a mess! I found the poeple in the front office difficult and unresponsive to maintenance requests, and generally incompetent. The plan is run down and not well maintained. The buildings themselves are poorly constructed. Windows are drafty, garaged doors are noisy and not seated well. The place is just plain noisy, we heard our neighbors through the walls and could hear a good deal of outside noise, also. There was a tennis court to be installed and the area set aside for that purpose is now grown over. The community rules are not enforced. Dogs run loose all the time and owners do not clean up after their pets.
The Point at Adams Ridge is overrated and certainly doesn't deliver what they promise. We were quite disapointed with our experience there and will not recoommend the plan to anyone.
