Community Pride

Like the "reviewer" who wrote "In response to the complainers," the management certainly has pride in their little community.
I don't. They can't spell on the community TV channel (it's so bad, it's embarrassing when guests see it), they covered up the TV Guide channel with their poorly spelled closed circuit channel.
They don't cash rent checks for days, often over a week, after they receive them... yet, they charge a late fee if you're even five minutes late (seriously, I know someone to whom that happened!).
They require SIXTY days' notice before moving out rather than the more reasonable thirty days.
If you don't happen to be home when the repairman comes to fix an appliance, and he doesn't happen to figure out by himself what is wrong, nothing will be done (and they will consider the service call closed). No follow up to find out if they fixed anything; they assume they did, even if the repairman didn't know what to fix in the first place!
There are always new rules and regulations in each month's newsletter. If this were a luxurious gated community I could understand having so many rules... and the tone of voice used to announce the rules tends to be quite strict.
The landscaping is poor... yards are half sod, half seed... with obvious lines between.
Some roads show people's front doors, some show their back doors (along with all their backyard junk).
The community is surrounded by a swampy creek which draws the bugs by the millions, during the summer.
The community pool is WAY too small for the number of people living here.
Recently, they built huge bus stops for the children waiting for their rides to school... on the wrong side of the street (they obviously didn't consult with the school system to find out where the buses stopped), so there are always crowds of children standing on the curb across the street from an empty bus stop. It was nice that they built these stops for the children, but it demonstrates the lack of genuine thought about what they're doing that is quite the par for this management company.
The cable outlets are in inconvenient locations within the rooms... and I've compared with friends to see that it's similarly inconvenient in the half dozen or so homes I've seen.
The basement is VERY NICE. It's large and has plenty of room for storage. I've been lucky that mine's dry, but I have a friend whose basement leaks, and the management company has done nothing but promise to do something about it.
