Usually when you pay over $600 a month for an apartment, you are spending the additional money for a quality environment. An apartment is no longer just a place to live, so you expect some type of quality. This apartment complex, and the staff, does not provide services that are equal to the cost of living here.

I will detail several incidents that have left me less than happy with the complex.

First, my heat went out. Not once, not twice, but three times. The worst was when the heat went out on the coldest day of the year (it was Superbowl Sunday). I came back from out of town and had to sit for 6 hours in an apartment that was hovering around 40 degrees. It took me 3 phone calls to a service, who kept telling me that the maintenance man could not reach me at my phone number. Amazingly enough, when I had the answering service verify my number, the guy finally gave up his bs and sent a technician, who was definitely intoxicated. I got my heat back, until 3 am, when it went out again. I love taking a shower in 40 degree weather.

The second problem is ants. I had ants in my bathroom in February. First they made me wait several weeks until an exterminator was making his scheduled appointment. His first attempt did not rectify the problem, neither did his second attempt. It took almost 2 mos. before the problem abated. I tell you what, there is nothing better than having a woman stay at your apartment and seeing her cringe because you have ants all over the bathroom. Thanks a lot Bramles, way to do your job.

And finally, noise. I cannot heard my neighbors to the side of me, but my upstairs neighbors more than make up for that. 3 am during the week, 730 am on the weekends, you name the inappropriate time, and they are making noise. They are nice people too, but damn annoying.

For the sake of honesty, I will admit that I decided to write this message after I had difficulty securing an early release from my lease. I figured I would overlook their poor performance if they helped me out. But they didn't. I even offered to find a replacement tenant, but they insisted they will take me for everything they can. I respect their rights to exercise the clauses in the contract, but I hope to God I can prevent at least one person from giving these clowns business.
