Brambles
AVERAGE RATING

I am a current resident at the Brambles in Mechanicsburg, PA. I live in a 1 bedroom 580 sqare foot apartment. These apartments are meant for one person, not two. The kitchen has little counter and cabinet space. The sink will not allow you to wash a full size pot in it without water getting everywhere. The refrigerator doesn't keep things fresh and the back of it freezes anything you put back there. The dishwasher doesn't allow for basic dished because it's too small. Serving spoons don't fit because they are too long. The stove is a regular size stove, but it sits right against the wall so if anything splatters, and it will; you've just bought a paint job at the end of your lease. I don't cook on the two stove eyes next to the wall. There is an area for a very small table. I have a 4 place octogal shaped table and I can only use two of the four seats because one is against the wall and the other is against the pantry doors. The bath room is the largest room in the apartment. There is a very small washer and dryer. It's convient, but it wrinkles everything you attempt to wash in it. I've tried washing items alone and they still wrinkle. The dryer dries very quickly. The bedroon is very small if you have a full set( i.e dresser, chest of drawers, nighstands, queen size bed) it will be a very tight fit with almost no room to walk. The living room will fit a love seat and t.v. comfortable and that's it. If you're looking for closet space then run for your life. There are two closets; one in the bedroom and the other outside of the bathroom. They are the size of closets meant for toddlers. If you own winter coats they take up most of the closet space. Utilities aren't bad. I currently keep the temparature at 72 degrees and my gas bill is about $30/mo. Electric $20.00/mo. Basic Cable and telephone with Comcast $67/ mo., and water $20.00/ mo.
It is very noisey. I had to leave my neighbor a note becasue she worked at night and she'd come home with her boyfriend at 2am laughing, talking and slamming car doors. Then they'd watch t.v. and I could hear it as I layed in bed trying to get back to sleep before I got up at 5am. You can also hear the humming of the highway becasue highway 581 goes past the complex. There are also tennants and visitors who play loud music and race in and out of the complex at all ours of the day and night. Living on the main entrance road, I can always hear cars and motorcycles reving their engines. If you're looking for a place to live long term this isn't the place. The Brambles should be a temorary living experience. It reminds me of living in a college dorm.

The reviewer's thrifty combined utility costs for gas, electric, and water are about 35% less than the annualized average for The Brambles - Annex one bedrooms, and about half the highest annualized utility costs among one bedroom Bramblers.
Nonetheless, insightful detail. Aye, we be leprechauns! Whirlpool appliances instead of the usual GE.
This is the first Brambles one bedroom review, all previous were two bedroom reviews. Thank you.
