First of all, I have had a leak in my roof for the past 8 months. Every time it rains, I put a bucket under the HOLE in my ceiling and call them to let them know. They "call in roofers" to "fix it" but then next month, it just leaks again.

For a few months now, I have put my rent check in their slot because they WERE NOT IN THE OFFICE DURING NORMAL OFFICE HOURS. One month, I received a letter saying that I owed the late fee plus the rent because they did not have my check. I argued with them and told them that I had put my check in the slot even BEFORE the first of the month (which is when I always get it in). So since then, I began to label my check very clearly and (since they were NOT IN THE OFFICE DURING OFFICE HOURS) put the check in the slot before getting home and CALLING THEM TO LEAVE A MESSAGE saying that I had left the check in the slot. I've been doing that now for a few months and this past month, I had put my check in on the 29th of July. August 6, they sent me a letter that I owed because I hadn't paid. Not only had I dropped the check off but once again, I had called and LEFT A MESSAGE to let them know that I had dropped the check in. Tomorrow I'm going down there because either they have morons working there or there is someone stealing the checks from out of the slot and I'm in fear of identity fraud!

BTW, my roof's still not fixed.
