When we first moved in several years ago, the rent was barely reasonable. Since, rent has increased quite regularly to a point where I would not recommend it to a household without substantial income, (at which point, you may as well purchase a house.) You are allowed to have a garden, but the rental office has recently enacted their own "guidelines" to flower gardens, (no perennials), which meant we had to dig up an established rose bush in it's third season. They also have become more strict on "curb appeal," with items such as requiring white curtains, and starting to schedule "inspections" of the decks and patios. We have found the property manager to come off as condescending, but can have her good days. Her supervisor, however, is simply disrespectful, and treats others like a door mat. The children in the neighborhood also need to be better supervised, as they have repeatedly broken into our cars, destroyed property, and threatened our pet. On the upside, the adults who live in the community are helpful, kind people.
