saw the apartments .... they look great... new appliances... new carpet.... fresh paint... the key word is that they look good!... it takes about a week of living here to realize it is the worst.... when i viewed the apartment we were told that it would be cleaned... i moved in and spent my first two weeks cleaning.... i have a dog so i had to live in one of the pet buildings.... i was told that the carpet smell was from the carpet cleaning solution.... yup... ummm still smells like cat urine!!! not too great to live with for 720 a month! the property appears to be nice until the snow is gone... there is dog poop EVERYWHERE!!! you can't walk in the grass without stepping in it. Our apartment has a balcony that locks us out ... so we can't even shut the balcony door... and it's not just us.. i had to rescue my neighbor once because her balcony door locked her out too... speaking of which ...neighbors!... they are a huge problem considering the walls are paper thin... ours has a kid who's in elementary school and they expect us to be quiet after 8 pm ha yea right i'm sorry but i'm an adult and i think i deserve to live comfortably until i choose to go to bed.... if you want a SEX LIFE... don't live here!!!! if you don't like the sound of your neighbor having a sex life you shouldn't live here either... thats just gross sorry.... we can't listen to our television on more than a bar level 2 without having people yell and forget having a stereo... we put ours in storage because we can't use it anymore... forget having company late that's out of the question... we live on the top floor and i can hear everything below us.... so i really feel bad for the people who live below us... i'm sure you can hear every step we make. The "laundry room" consists of two single load washers and two dryers. one of our dryers doesn't even work. I would say you can wash half a load successfully and it only costs you 3.25 for both washing and drying (half a load)!!! that is terrible!!! we have to tote our clothes to a laundry mat because it really is cheaper!!!! oh and we were really excited about having a brand new dishwasher!!! we have to wash our dishes 3 times for them to get clean! maintenance guy came 2 times because the detergent door doesn't open all the time... still didn't fix it... ,...TRASH is a pain in the butt!!!... there's only one dumpster and if you're in the pet buildings it's far away.... in all there is no PRIVACY... i feel like my neighbors can hear every sound i make if i can hear my neighbors in the shower... that probably means they can hear me in the shower too... not pleasant... in all the best thing about the apartments is the water... it's a flat rate... so if you wanna get your moneys worth out of it... leave your faucet running 24/7... then it might come out being worth the price!

Also this part is important... if you plan to get a two bedroom and use the second bedroom make sure you check to see if the vent in the spare bedroom is working with the heat... i like to sleep with the door closed but i can't because there's no heat in that room!!!! sooo annoying

when dealing with the staff ask for becky!!! she is probably the most wonderful thing about this place!! wow... one good thing!! =]

also as a note because i know some people might misjudge this thinking i have a grudge..... i have no grudge i am a good tenant i pay my rent on time i have not been evicted or talked to about any issue... my issue is strictly with wasting my hard earned money on the many inconveniences offered here at birnam wood apartments!
