Generally a pretty quiet complex despite being located next to the local high school. Parking is adequate except during school football games; the students tend to use the apartment lots for parking to avoid the crowded school lots. The location is convenient to the parkway, turnpike and Monroeville mall.
Apartment maintenance is reasonable, although the staff has a bad habit of leaving the door open while working. General building maintenance is very lax, however. Frequent boiler problems cause rattling noises throughout the entire building, hallway and lobby water damage (holes in ceiling, etc) can go for months without being fixed.
Buildings have a laundry room with two one-load washers and dryers. I have not seen the units broken down in over a year here, but the cost is excessive at 1.75 per load per machine. The laundry machines do not accept quarters or bills, a rechargeable card is provided at the leasing office.
The fitness room is kept in good condition but is poorly ventilated. It is open 24 hours and usually available. The swimming pool, however, is positively disgusting. The pool is never filled deep enough to drain surface debris and has all the appeal of stagnant pond water. There are remnants of what once was a tennis court, but it is no longer in a safe condition for use.
Some buildings have steam heating, eliminating a gas bill. This works effectively in the living and dining rooms, but you will likely need a space heater for the bedrooms. The heating can cause a lot of noise as condensed water runs down the pipes in the walls. Air conditioning uses wall units, they work well enough but are very loud. In high humidity the vents in older units will accumulate ice and need to be shut down for a day or so to defrost. The building insulation is very poor and loses heat quickly on colder days.
Noise is a constant problem, both from the local high school and surrounding apartments. Any water use can easily drown out all other sound in a lower floor apartment. The floors above the first floor in my building tend to creak, allowing footsteps to travel. The biggest problem is the constant noise of water (plumbing and heating) in the walls. The school band is intolerable during the summer and fall. Closed windows do nothing to drown it out.
Overall the apartment complex is average considering its age. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

The first paragraph says it's "a pretty quiet complex" but the last paragraph starts, "Noise is a constant problem". Which is it? Not a good review.
