OK, I've lived my share of apartments and I really don't know what to think of this place so here it goes....

Lets start with all the NEGATIVES you'll counter living here:
1) The noise: Every 5 minutes, you'll hear a train go by and blowing their whistle, it gets VERY annoying! When the trains don't go by, then you'll hear the firestation alarm go off every 30 minutes or so! If that's not enough, you'll constantly hear your neighbors walking by as of no walls exists. Think that I'm finished, no, lets add plenty of dogs barking to this category!

2) Lack of storage/closet space for both your clothes and kitchen ware due to the lack of cabnets!

3) Expensive rent
4) Lack of access(you won't understand this until you live here): being near a shopping area and surrounded by railroad tracks, during rush hours and/or weekends, forget about it, there are so many cars tryint to get in and out of this area, it's crazy! Especially if you had a long day of work, the last thing you want to do is sit in a traffic jam 3 blocks from your apartment! Further, if you just happen to run into a train crossing by, great, again, you'll have to sit and wait to get to your apartment! Too much chaos when all you want to do is get home!

5) Crime: In the 13 months that I've lived here, there were two cars broken into and two gun shots incidents in the near by restuarants
6) High security deposit

The POSITIVES:
1) Great location. You're nearby all the shopping and restuarants and not a bad commute to downtown, Oakland or Northshore.
2) Great office staff (girls are very attractive)
3) Great amenities (pool, onsite gym, package receipt service, dry cleaning, laundry, plenty of parking, walking/running trail, clean)
4) Pet friendly
5) Contemporary floorplans
6) Great maintainence responses
7) Flexible lease options

I am leaving this property for multiple reasons:
1) the rent is increasing
2) moving so my commute is shorter to work
3) need a bigger place
