I have updated my rating after living here for 2 years. Don't be fooled when visiting the complex. The corporate, furnished apartments are nice (but it's not where the majority of us live). The building where the rental office is, is 10 times better than the regular buildings. Dogs are only allowed if you lived here before the policy changed (unless you are a corporate renter perhaps).


POSITIVES



- cats allowed

- spacious apartments

- cable TV w/HBO included in rent

- apartment in good, clean condition for move-in (new paint, carpeting, etc.)

- ample closet space



NEGATIVES



- available parking, but not necessarily close to your apartment

- move-in is a major pain (no close parking and no elevators)

- old plumbing, wiring

-maintenance is horribly unreliable and does not fix problems or replace appliances

- close to Germantown Pike - extremely slow "highway"

- installed sprinkler system with UGLY orange pipes which run through the buildings and jut into and through apartments - it looks horrible

- halls are dingy and hot

- noisy, obnoxious children in buildings yelling outside and vandalizing the hallways

-noisy, obnoxious heating system, poor insulation

-maintenance comes over unannounced A LOT (unless of course you've actually called them there)

-fire alarm for the building goes off an inordinate amount of times (tenants ignore it now and don't even leave the building!!)
