I have lived in this complex for 2 years now and I have just signed my lease for another year. I have read many of the other reviews and they made me laugh. YES this place is for someone on a budget. Therefore you can't expect everything little thing to be perfect and everything to go your way. I would like to know where some of these people have rented from before if they find something for the same price as this place and better quality!!
I think this complex is great for single people. There is a nice QUIET relaxing pool and the grounds are kept nice. Only grounds complaint I have is that I do not feel the snow is plowed fast enough in the parking lot or the side walks. Speaking of the parking lot, it does fill up rather quickly and can be annoying at times. The people that share my lot tend not to care about other people and double park in front of other cars, which I hope belongs to people they know, but makes manuvering in the small lot very hard. And people, IF there is no parking, it isn't the end of the world to park on the street. As for the apartment itself, it is basic, but it does what I need for what I am paying. When I moved in the apartment was in great shape! I had a new rug, new flooring in kitchen and everything was painted nicely. Only complaint is the bathroom is very outdated and some tiles looking loose. But I can live with it. The windows are very very thin and electric for heating is crazy. And people on here are right about the AC. There is only one and it does not reach your bedroom. These are things I deal with again for the price I am paying for the GREAT area we are in. As for high heating costs, I just try to not use my heat all the time.
The walls and floors are extremly thin.. So that along with the thin windows are my biggest complaint. I live in a middle floor apartment. So I get to hear EVERYTHING and i mean everything that happens with my neighboors upstairs. Some mornings I dont even need an alarm clock because their morning rituals wake me up, such as their love making, showering, snoring, talking on phone and to eachother. Oddly enough I have NEVER heard my neighboors that share a wall with me.
Also I would like to comment on the maintenance staff. If I have ever had a problem they have been extremly timely with handling the situation. I usually get a call back within a few minutes of my call.
As for a bug complaint. Yes there are some bugs. I can deal with them, all places have bugs. I could just do without the long huge creepy like catapillar ones that smush all over my wall when I kill them. Anyways all in all I wanted to let me feelings be known for this apartment. It is a good place to live while your young and do not need top of the line things. I do not recommned this apt to families, mostly because I do not think it is fair to the neighboors who will have to listen to them through the thin walls and floors. Live here, but just remember what your paying for.

I completely agree with this person. I have lived there for the last two years and I am a young person that is just starting out in life so I don't have a lot of money. After much searching in the area I found Norrishills to be the most for my money. My main complaint is that you can hear the people below and above and my apartment is a cave (there are trees all around which do not let much sun light in). But all in all I think this is a good place to live if you are on a budget!
