I lived at Norris Hills for 3 years and was counting the days till I could afford to live in a nicer place. Living at Norris Hills was a horrible experience in every way possible. Complaints like paper-thin walls (where I should hear both my upstairs and downstairs neighbors snore), and facts like that the tenet turnover rate is frequent and many residents are rude and inconsiderate (like leaving beer bottles outside of the entrance and garbage in the hallways) have been minor problems compared to the mouse infestation in my apartment. After informing the management several times that there were mouse dropping in my kitchen (not to mention a dead mouse) I was told by Jean that nothing more would be done besides providing glue traps. Perhaps instead of Norris Hills spending money on refurbishing their rental office space, money should be spent on properly taking care of the mouse infestation (clearly your exterminator is not effective in his job). Also it took literally 5 months for the maintenance staff to fix and patch the numerous water leaks in my apartment and I was left with a huge gaping hole in my bathroom ceiling for a month. In order to have any maintenance problem fixed you need to continually bug staff. The other large problem with Norris Hills is the extremely rude and unprofessional office staff. I was continuously billed for money that I had paid, and even after providing canceled checks as proof of my payment, I was still billed. There is no need to be rude to a resident when I am pointing out your accounting error. I would never recommend this apartment complex and I hope this posting discourages anyone else from renting there, trust me you will be much happier elsewhere!!
