Worth the low rent

The halls are dumpy, but they do make quite an effort to give you a clean apartment. Typical "Riverside" problem of spiders around the doors/windows and you will see a few roaches if you leave any food around.
For the most part it is a community of good, hard-working folks. We have not had any problems. And just in case...there is a guard patrolling the grounds from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Police cars drive past and circle the parking lot fairly often.
Maintenance requests are not always speedily acted upon (floodlights not replaced, mailboxes defective) but if you tell them it's important (electricity, plumbing,etc..) you get a better response.
The air conditioning units are pretty old, and some units they are placed too low, so expect to use a fan.
It's awesome to be right next the the transportation center: you can get wherever you need very easily.
Also for move-in...they're not psycho about credit ratings/job history, so it's a good place overall. A few annoyances, but the price is not bad.
Policy says "no pets" but everyone ignores it. Need to purchase tokens (on 1 or 2 certain days) to operate laundry machines.
