As the owner and developer of Selma Estate, I?d like to take a moment to respond to the numerous emails posted on this website.

First, and foremost, I?d like to thank those current and former tenants who know a good thing when they see it. These folks obviously appreciate the rare amenities that Selma has to offer, such as cathedral ceilings, sunken living rooms, private storage facilities and garages! These perks are practically unheard of these days?especially within a reasonable price range! And let?s not forget our convenient location or our inclusive pet policy! Selma is one of the few apartment complexes in Montgomery county that cares enough to warmly welcome your pets?because we understand that they?re family members too!

As many of you know, the exclusive apartments at Selma overlook the historic 18th Century Selma Mansion, which is being completely restored by the Norristown Preservation Society. This impressive structure is the finest example of pre-Federal architecture and the oldest building in the area.

As a family owned and operated business, we take great pride in the unusual quality of the living spaces we have to offer. We also take enormous pride in our ability to provide that to you at a price you can afford. That?s why we still have several happy tenants who?ve been with us since the very beginning (1991). It?s also why some tenants who leave decide to move back!

As for the ?anonymous? authors of the negative opinions posted on this site, I do welcome and appreciate your feedback. However, as we all know, personal opinions will vary, and unfortunately, we can?t please everyone. Do keep in mind that even the best of landlords can?t control the weather (which affects the landscaping), the personal habits of your neighbors (for example, how and when they dump their trash), or who decides to drive down your street in the middle of the night.

Because these comments were anonymous, I have no way of knowing who or why these statements were made, I can only wonder if our ?competition? had a hand in it. After all, Selma has been 99% occupied since day one. We must be doing something right!
