I agree with the review from 2/22...I have had continuous issues with the management since I moved in. They are still sending me notices 2 years after the fact for a late fee I refuse to pay because the manager THREW AWAY MY RENT CHECK and I had to go to the bank to cancel the check. The appliances have had to be updated, parking is a mess on the weekends, and the laundry facilities are expensive and not well kept. The walls, etc are in desperate need on repairs- there are countless cracks, shoddy workmanship shows everywhere...for example, when they replace my stove, the new hood did not fit exactly where the old one did and now I have unpainted wall showing. You can hear EVERYTHING through the walls- the loud kid downstairs, the neighbors who keeps their TV all the way up, etc. My car was also keyed last month in the parking lot; people here do NOT respect other people's space and belongings. I have only continued to rent because when I moved in, it was the most affordable place I found. As the rent increases, though, the remaining appeal has all but disappeared.

At $2 a wash and FREE dryers, I don't believe that you are complaining about the laundry costs. Have you been to a public laundromat lately and seen the prices they charge? It would be more expensive, in the long run, to have your own washer/dryer in the home. I do agree that the cleanliness of the laundry rooms could be better, but please keep in mind that for the ENTIRE complex there is only ONE person who has been hired to clean. It's a shame that our fellow renters don't feel that they need to clean up after themselves, too.
The appliances are usually updated when a new tenant moves in. I know they are trying to get the old "Harvest Gold" stoves and refrigerators out and the new white GE appliances in, but that takes time and labor.
I don't know in which area of the complex you live but I have been impressed with how quiet this place is. If you have a problem with your downstairs neighbor keeping the TV turned up loud, did you complain to the office about it? There aren't many kids in our area, so we don't have the same problem that you've had with screaming children.
Unfortunately, the management isn't responsible for the bad behavior of the people who keyed your car; that's a matter for the West Norriton Police. Did you file a report with them? I do know that they patrol the area daily and their station is less than a mile away. I know from personal experience that their response time is very fast.
The parking situation is an ongoing issue but I don't see that as a problem with management. When people have friends over they park in the areas usually reserved for the residents. Again, individual courtesy is not up to the management. I would like to see signs indicating which areas are for visitors so when people are expecting company they can TELL them where to park. Maybe iniate PERMIT PARKING; that would probably mean an increase in rent, though.
There is no question that more maintenance people are needed but that is, from what I understand, a corporate issue. Plus, it would probably mean an substantial increase in rent to pay their salaries.
Maybe you could ask if there is another apartment in a different area of the complex that is more quiet? I do know of 2 families who have done that and it has worked out for them. Just a suggestion.
We've been here almost 6 years and, on the whole, love it. This place feels like home and the management has been responsive to our issues over the years.

How are the laundry rooms expensive? It is $2 a wash and the dryers are FREE. Every other placed I lived it was at the very least $1.50 for each machine. This sounds like your first apartment experience.

As a potential renter this comment raises a red flag. Without getting into your personal reason for calling the police... would you say that the apartment community as a whole is safe? Why do the police need to patrol daily? Before I move into any community I always check familywatchdog.com and call the local police to ask their opinion. However I find current/previous renters opinions also to be very valuable. Thank you in advance for reading/replying.
