Jim, Frank, Gerald are all friendly and helpful. The gym and indoor swimming pool are great. Units are spacious. Staff respond to repair requests on the same day.
But I guess for $1700 (1-br 1 bth) they should all be expected.
The biggest headache I had was the LOUD (boy are they LOUD!)noise created by the ambulances and fire trucks on the nearby streets. I can see the fire station from my living room. I lived close to the 40th floor but was still waken up almost every night by the fire trucks. They pass by about every 20 minutes, day and night. And even when traffic ain't that bad sometimes (like at night), they never forget to turn on their 1-billion dbs siren (I guess just for fun). There is absolutely no city ordinance in Philly to control noise. I know certain noise level comes with city life. Yet, I've lived in several cities in several countries, but Philly is simply the worst in this regard. My best advice: watch for nearby fire stations (and ask about them) when you shop for apartments in Philly.
