This building is seemingly great. Nice apartments with a great gym and indoor pool. HOWEVER, the current elevator debacle makes this building UNACCEPTABLE.

An elevator renovation began in the fall and is currently scheduled to continue into June (the original completion date has already come and gone). On the best days of this renovation, 1 elevator is out at all times. On the worst days, people are stuck in elevators, the buttons don't work, the elevators stop at all floors (there are 40 or so) and the building SUGGESTS you add 15 minutes or so to your average commute.

In reality, you should expect to add 30 minutes to your commute as you will wait for an elevator.

On weekends, when the elevators break (and it happens often) you can wait in the lobby on line to go home for 30 minutes. There have been a few occasions where the elevators were broken on the weekend and it took hours for someone to come and fix it.

It has gotten so bad that a large group of tenants are thinking of suing the property owner.

Some have suggested that the management consider reducing rent until the renovation is complete. I have heard this suggestion was categorically denied.

If I had known this was going to happen, there is no way I would have lived here.

I am honestly concerned that in an emergency, Emergency Medical Personnel would not be able to reach my apartment without climbing the 30 or so floors.

If you want a home in which you are not free to come and go as you please, this is the place for you!
