Rough patch, getting better

I have lived here for almost a year. We loved the place and had no problems at all until a few months ago. First, a bunch of the machines in the gym broke and weren't fixed for a long time. Then one of the elevators broke and they couldn't fix it right away. Then they replaced something with the hot water regulation and we were treated to very sporadic hot water availability. I admit that I found all of these factors extremely annoying. I was starting to get very frustrated. Then suddenly the general manager was replaced and things started getting fixed. The elevator is back in service and we have new fancy gym equipment. After many visits from maintenance, our hot water situation is pretty much fixed (still takes longer to get hot than before, but it stays hot through a long shower). So my assessment is that poor management allowed some of the amenities and some of the necessities to deteriorate, but the new manager seems a lot more on top of things and has made a point to communicate very clearly what is going on in the building (like with Twitter). I would still recommend this building, and we are renewing.
