If all the Turchi properties are like this one, I would run.
All attention is focused on their upcoming condominium project and the company couldn't care less about this building. The only thing they care about is getting the high rent payment.
The apartments are tiny and poorly insulated. The common are charges are high, as they have to run space heaters there to keep the lobby warm (sort of).
The company doesn't even pick up the water charges.
Dryers vent internally, resulting in tenants feeling ill when doing laundry. It also results in lint all over the apartment.
There are mornings without hot water.
The managers, who seem to change every few weeks, are not helpful. Calls are frequently not answered. Maintenance staff may or may not show up for an appointment and may show up without an appointment. Or they may enter without permission.
As the above poster suggested, this is likely a property owner exploiting tax breaks and taking advantage of tenants. It says something when they could not negotiate a parking deal with the lot in which the building sits! Don't rent here, you can do much better for the price. Most tenants are not renewing their lease.
The door staff, though, is excellent.
