Convenient Location but overpriced for a mediocre deal

I've lived here for 3 years and I ended up appreciating the place over time.
Cons: It's true, the Turchis are mean, bullying, greedy men and the few times I've had to deal with them it's been unpleasant. The building manager is not much better. The building, although renovated, is old & basement floods constantly, which sets off the fire alarm every time, almost always during the night ... but recently this has not been as big of a problem. A few years ago a whole group of tenants met & complained ... not sure what that accomplished, but in the last year Turchi has been a bit better in appeasing the tenants. these days I actually see notices before a scheduled water, electricity shutoff etc.
Pros: the applicances are new, w/d in every unit. the walls are quite thick ... other than through the door, I don't hear ANY neighbors' noise, which is not the case in many other apartments in center city. Security is pretty decent and maitenance man friendly. I actually have not had any needs for maintenance (despite their shoddy looking renovations!) so I can't comment on their services. No mice whatsoever (although the windows don't come with screens so open your windows at your risk). The location can't be beat ... near Rittenhouse Sq., near supermarkets & restaurants. It's also on a major bus route & 1 block off the subway lines. Ideal for those communting to Penn.
I have looked at a lot of apartments & despite the disappointing management, the building itself is still at or above average. It's quite costly but if you can afford it, the conveniences may over time outweigh the other faults.
