Nice to live in but expensive

Having lived here for three months, I agree with most of the other reviewers: the staff are very friendly, the apartments are clean, and the building is well-maintained. The complimentary washers and dryers are nice, as is the gym and the free DishTV. The location of the apartment building cannot be beat. There are a number of security cameras and the deskman is always on hand in case you have any problems.
That said, this place is very expensive. I have a studio apartment (650-700 sq. ft) that costs me $1300 a month, with parking an additional $150 (I don't have a car). Also, be aware that the window AC/heater units are --very-- inefficient. I had mine running for 8-9 hours a day during the summer and racked up a bill of $200 in one month (Water/sewage are mercifully included in the rent). I've heard that the prices can get even higher during the winter and now that I know, I keep the units off as much as possible to bring down the cost. In addition, the apartments aren't much to talk about: there's a lot of closet space, but the fixtures are ancient and the tiling is pretty bad in the bathroom (I actually complained about a leaky faucet and they replaced the entire thing, which was nice).
The bottom line is that I do enjoy living here and the convenient location near Drexel and Penn is great. Anywhere else and these apartments would be seriously overpriced--the apartments themselves are relatively old, though maintenance is good about repairs. Be sure to budget at least $100-150/month for your electricity bill, in addition to the rent and parking.
