Parking is terrible. Good luck finding a spot after 5 p.m. on a weekday. Also, be prepared to have your car broken into at least once. After all, beautiful north philadelphia is only a stone's throw away. Mice are often a problem, as I find them dead in my kitchen from time to time. Doubles as a nursing home. Some of the old people smell funny, making the whole experience rather unpleasant. The rent is an absolute monstrocity. Elevators break a lot. Moving is also fun, because the frieght elevator is just big enough for two people. Anticipate hiring movers to help you, especially if you live on the 12th floor, like I did. One of the doorman is a possible transexual, which disturbs me, but may very well please others. Location sucks. You have to drive to go downtown, or take a cab if you want to die. The walls are made of plaster, and they fall apart in the winter months. There is absolutly no insulation, so be prepared to freeze in the winter, and roast in the summer. The air conditioners/heaters are retarded and smell. Kitchen was kind of nice, except for the dead mice. Honestly, living in Philadelphia is no picnic. This place is probably better than most. Don't say I didn't warn you.
