AWFUL BUILDING & MANAGEMENT

Well, the 2601 building is the pits.
I wouldn't suggest living here unless you want to throw your money out the window. (literally) The insulation is awful and during the winter and summer months, utility bills are HUGE. The heating/cooling unit is terribly innefficient and does not have a working thermostat (in any of the units) The laundry in house is ok, but that is also very expensive. The people are mostly rude, with a few exceptions, and I can't count the times that I have had the elevator door slammed in my face by rude people. The shuttle bus into town is good at times, but awful other times. It is terribly inconsistant, and when you call the front desk to see if it running on time or not, they sound like they are being bothered and do not care. The management is not good and the customer service levels are atrocious. It seems that they do not care if their tennants are happy. That must be why the turnover is so high, well, that and the exuberant amounts of rent that is asked is ludicrous. Let's not even talk about the parking. The parking is so limited, there have been so many nights that I would almost have been inclined to sleep in my car, or park four long blocks away. There is a parking garage, which costs over $150 per month. The spots, (when you get one after waiting YEARS on a list) are so small, it's really odd to see a car parked in there that has not hit one of the big supporting poles in there, that is, unless you drive one of those Mini Coopers or the Barbie car. The noise levels are AWFUL- you can hear everything around you, both upstairs and down- even people walking around.
Bottom line- for the same amount of money, GO LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!! But that's just my opinion.
