If you do not mind living by rather strict (and sometimes arbitrary) rules, similar to a co-op, then we would recommend this building. The location is excellent; the redone lobby, while rather brash (tacky') by some standards, is at least kept very clean, and the staff at the front desk are all wonderful. However, the general management of this building is atrocious, especially since it went condo. New rules spring up arbitrarily about everything from lobby usage to pets to allowed decor: no colored window treatments or decorations (signs, wreaths, otherwise) are allowed on doors, but smoke and loud noises are constantly penetrating into neighboring units, the halls are never cleaned, and anyone with a pet must exit and enter the building via the freight elevator and service exit, which is beside the dumpsters and completely unmonitored at night. It's not condos, it's a police state. If we had wanted to live in a co-op we would have made a good choice in this building, but we had no idea: the rules have changed frequently and without warning or recourse.

Why didn't you read the condo documents before you bought? If you rent, talk to the owner about these rules. If you own, follow them. And get used to shared living space. We're all in this together and want the property to increase in value not develop a reputation as a poorly run hotel.
