Great place to live despite moldy gym & no recycling From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/1/2006 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006   I love my apt and feel very safe here. The guards and door people are very friendly. My apt has a nice layout and view. The rent is reasonable but I soon realized that I needed to buy a gym membership. The pool is amazing but the gym equipment is extremely old. The bicycle seat is so big, it causes serious pain after 10 min. The free weights are rusty and the carpet smells like mold. The area around the hot tub is always dirty. I'm not suprised nobody is ever in it. These are my only complaints about Alden Park. The sinks do get clogged once in a while, but it is a very old building and that is part of its charm. The maintainace usually responds quickly esp if there is an emergency. AP - PLEASE, if you read this, spend some money on new gym equipment, carpet and ask the crew to mop, w/ bleach, the area around the hot tub. Otherwise, thanks for the new lounge chairs! Also, maybe the guy who spends EVERY morning polishing the furniture in the manor building, could paint the doors and doorways leading into the building from the parking lots.
