best kept secret in philly From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/30/2005 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005   i have been renting for almost 30 thirty years and could tell you some real horror stories. this isn't one of them. this place is a truly wonderful experience in apartment living. and in my opinion it begins with the property manager. some managers are friendly up until you sign the lease; ours is consistently pleasant, looks out for her tenants like a mother hen and, above all, is professional. a caring landlord sounds like an oxymoron, but not so here. maintenance response is same day or next day at latest. the place is spotless; we are kept abreast of everything that goes on in building. the building itself is probably as old as others in the area but has been kept up amazingly well. although my 1 bdrm is relatively small, i can't think of a thing to complain about. finally, and probably best of all, the thick walls shelter me from neighborly noise above, below and next to me--it's blessedly quiet, which is very rare in apt. living. i had only planned to live here a short while, but its many assets make it impossible to leave.
