From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/30/2005 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   My two years at the Crafts House have been the absolute worst experience I have had with any apartment in this city. From day one I have had to have maintance in my apartment at least once a week, that is when they decide to actually show up. I was welcomed into my apartment with a busted air conditioning system(in the middle of June), a broken dishwasher, shower and many more. Shortly after this I started to recieve bug bites all over my body(I know of 2 other tenants who encountered the same problem). A family of mice have decided to take up residency in what was my brand new couch and they have decorated it with their ever so lovely droppings, which I'm sure can not be healthy living conditions. Brandywine is far from accomodating or concerned about their tenants their number one priority is to collect your rent on the first of the month when in fact I should be paid to live here. My college dorm was a better living experience and the fire alarm went off equally as much their. Over the weekends trash builds up and overflows out of the trash room attracting all kinds of discusting vermon. And last but certainly not least they assure you a safe and secure building, since when does leaving the gate open all day and hours of the night mean safe and secure. It is not 1950, we live in a city where crimes do happen and it would be nice to feel safe in my own home. At least when the gate is closed it appears to be locked not everyone walking past knows that the lock has not locked for the past six months. I would never ever recommend Brandywine to anyone. Their apartments are run-down, delapadated, dirty, unsecure, filty and discuting.
