Since Liss Group Property took over, Brookshire Trace apartments are going down hill. 1. My A/C doesn't work (during a heat wave) and maintenance doesn't come out during after hours unless your elderly or ill....this is terrible so since I'm not considered 'elderly or ill' I have to sit in the heat until Monday when the office is open...what happened to 24-hour emergency maintenance'' I feel like I'm being discriminated since I'm not considered elderly even though we all pay the same rent! 2. Maintenance crew recklessly drive around complex throughout the day double parking where they feel like it. (Speed Limit is supposed to be 10) 3. Unable to open back windows because of bugs coming in, since the screen doesn't fully cover the window. Living on the second floor, we hear raccoons running around all the time. The raccoons made themselves a home (in between the roof and my ceiling). 4. There is no assigned parking. When other tenants have company...they take all the parking spots. 5. Water sur-charge. 6. It's June and we haven't received our pool passes. (I talked to the office and was told they didn't receive them yet) When my lease is up, I'll be moving out!!!

I think what they are doing is great. Things in my house haven't been fixed in 10 yrs! I know it takes time to adjust when a new owner comes along. I had an A/C problem last week. The guy came out on Saturday and repaired it. I don't think they would leave someone without air conditioning all weekend! I go to the pool all the time and I have my passes. I love it here. My daughter cam to visit and we were at the pool all day! Too many old people here that complain about silly stuff. Doesn't bother us. We can't have a better place to live!

Response from "anonymous" posted 7/21/08 you said "Too many old people here that complain about silly stuff"....the original posting stated "maintenance doesn't come out during after hours unless your elderly or ill....this is terrible so since I'm not considered 'elderly or ill' I have to sit in the heat until Monday when the office is open...what happened to 24-hour emergency maintenance'' I feel like I'm being discriminated since I'm not considered elderly even though we all pay the same rent!" If you would have read the posting you'd realize the person is not old! This is proof the office staff enters postings to make the property sound good so they don't loose future residents.

I'm elderly and a resident...hmmm???? Still waiting for that special treatment that an "elderly" resident is supposed to receive. As for only the elderly complaining about silly stuff - does numerous leaks in the ceiling that have not been fixed for months, putrid carpet, the smell of mildew, window sills that are rotting away, toilets that don't flush properly and obnoxious, disrespectful office staff that promise to get the work completed and NEVER DO,still fit into silly complaints? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!

Since acquiring Brookshire, the staff here has replaced heating and a/c units, caulked and replaced windows, cleaned out many work orders that were left by the previous owner. Many a resident has waited patiently for work requests that were brought to previous management's attention and we are attempting to address them in the most timely fashion possible. They have been very patient and continue to be pleased with the improvements that we have made. Our office is open every day and Saturdays. We make ourselves available. If a time is needed to discuss a matter in the office, appointments are always available to ensure that the office's full atention is on the resident. Ithink you will see for yourself, visit us today. hope to see you soon.
