the management is either inept or dishonest From: unhappyrenter121 Date posted: 1/30/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   the management company had 'lost' my rent check on two non-consequtive occasions. not only that, i just found out that they had cashed in the checks that management claimed was never turned in which was in addition to the checks that i had given to make up for the 'lost' rent. they convieniently cashed both checks. their 'emergency' phone number is actually just a message service so don't expect to be warm if the heater breaks down after 5pm. everything the previous reviewer, happyrenter118 said was true. the area is simply unsafe. plenty of robberies and cars being broken into. there is zero sound proofing so you can hear everything from your neighbors. i can hear my upstairs neighbor walking. walking!!! not playing loud music, just walking. the apartments are very poorly maintained. the maintenance people are very nice though. its the management people that are standoffish, not quite jerks but certainly not professional. the only positive remark about carlton park is the location. its right next to drexel med school.
