Yo!

Mixed Feelings

Ok, I lived there for about 3 years, or until I graduated from college. I have mixed feelings about the place.

Pros: The security is pretty good. There are cameras everywhere, well-lit facilities and the security had, over those three years, been constantly improving and continuously good with checking who came in and out of the building.
For a studio, it was pretty roomy. I fit a full-size bed, a drafting table, a loveseat, a coffee-table, a kitchen table and chairs, an entertainment system, and various fixtures. It was large enough I could have a "bedroom" section, a "living room" section, and a "work" area. The bathroom was pretty modern and up-to-date, and the kitchen wasn't a firetrap.

CONS: Nothing got fixed promptly. I requested, over those three years, for them to fix the bathroom faucet drip (a pretty steady leak), a broken valve on the toilet, a rusty/non-working door lock, and the intercom/phone system for the front door. They fixed the doorlock after three days of me leaving it dangerously unlocked, the toilet after a whole week, the faucet after a month, and they never fixed the intercom.
The things that DID get fixed were only after repeated calls to Management.
The rent increase was just too much. It's a good place for someone for one year, or in transit to another apartment, but to go from $475, to $525, to $575 is just too much for the same little apartment.
Forget having a car, unless you're fine with parking down on 13th and Catherine.
Hope you like lots of noise, lots of bellowing, angry women outside of Sisters, and drunk/flamboyant men screaming their lungs out outside of Woody's,which is RIGHT next door - not to mention the shady derelicts who nightly harassed me with either a barrage of "hey, Baby, c'mere hot Mama" or "I got some speed, smack, what'choo need'"
It gets tiring.
If you're a true people person, the this is a good, "lively" place. If you want a home to go to and relax, I don't recommend it.
This place isn't bad to live in, the apartments themselves are kept in good condition... it's the neighborhood that makes it intolerable.
Mixed experience, altogether.
