Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
I have lived in the Chancellor buidling for more than a year. I'll start with my problems: I had a persistant problem with mice during my stay. Nothing could make them go away. At any given time, there was only 1 elevator working. For such a high-rise, it is unacceptable that the elevators stop working and that the elevators are very, very small. It was not easy to move into the apartment as it is a long way from the freight elevator (from the rear) to the street. On random days in the winter, the heat would not work. The neighborhood was very, very noisy and there would always be a cop car parked right in front of the building to deal with the people on the street (none of them residents at the Chancellor).
Now the good things: The maintenance was always very quick about everything. They usually responded in under 24hrs. I didn't have any emergency situations, so all my maintenace was routine. In my one year here, I have had to deal with just one fire alarm (false). My leasing agent was really good and always got back to me whenever I called. She was prompt and very courteous. The receptionist was friendly too. The apartment itself was lovely and I loved the space and the huge windows. It is a large studio with a wonderful view. So all in all, it was a nice place to live barring the few (serious) problems. k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
