Decent place for a reasonable place in the center city

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
I moved in Chancellor Associate at the end of October, 2006. I would have to say that my stay in Chancellor by far has been nice and pleasant. Before I moved to Philly, I checked online for reviews of a few apartments complex in the center city. Not surprisingly, none of them got unanimously positive or negative comments. So I think it is purely a personal experience and I would like to share mine here. Hopefully you will think them objective and useful.
I finished all of the documents with the management via telephone and fax since I was living out of Philly. The whole process was smooth and professional. I did not feel that I had been pushed to make the decision and all of my questions were answered promptly. Twenty minutes after I got off the cab from the airport, I was done with the paperwork and stood in my place.
Prons:
1. Very prompt maintenance service. There were several times that the washing tub in the bathroom was clotted. I called the maintenance and left for the school. When I got home at night, the problem was fixed and a satisfactory questionnaire sheet was left on my table.
2. Sufficient heat in the winter. I don t know if there are things nicer than when you came back home in a cold winter night and found the room was warm and cozy. And it is free.
3. Good garbage collection. Never encounter any rodent in the building.
4. Doormen are nice and friendly. When I moved in, I forgot to reserve the freight elevator in advance. The doorman on duty kindly provided me with the access to the elevator and a dolly without any problem.
5. Close to every fun place you could think of. Reading station market, gourmet grocery, theaters and so on.
6. Very safe even in middle night, there is always a police s car parking right outside of the building.
Cons:
1. Old building. Sometimes the elevator was down and the freight elevator has to be used for passengers. If you live above 12th floor, it may take a few minutes to get the elevator. Tip: If you are not obsessed with the view, then take the lower level.
2. If you are a light sleeper, try not to take the room facing the street. There are a few bars down the street and the noise is remarkable on the weekend. Weekdays are fine.
I love this place and recommend it to some of my friends. I think the place is great for the price. After all, we are talking about an apartment lying in the center of the center city. Finally, I think that when we are asking nice and professional service from the management, we should stick to our own responsibilities, such as paying the rent in time.
